Hotmail = 1GB

Microsoft declared 1 GB upgrade of e-mail. Also, inactive accounts will now be allowed an expiration period of 60 days for accounts that are more than two years old, instead of the prior 30-day period. This is done to integrate the hotmail with new Live Mail which is next gen mail from Microsoft.
Now, Windows Live Mail will feature 2 GB storage space, 120 days expiration period, anti-phishing features, address Autocomplete, and drag-and-drop functionality making it easier to read, send, and organize email messages.

Finally a cool tool to combine Orkut and Google Talk. Chat, call, and instantly receive scraps with your orkut friends by using Google Talk.
Just got to settings and click on "enable Google Talk".
Than select the options and start..
I think this tool would start a new revolution in the long list of Google innovations and services.
Also as we know now Orkut is open

MS Virtual Earth... vs Google Earth

yet another Microsift product against Google.
its Microsft Vitual Earth, go to http://maps.live.com/ and you can zoom in and out of places on the site.
Also provided 3D modals for which you have to download software.
But this web interface is also cool and this mix Maps and real terrain quite well. The maps and features like traffic monitering are really good.
Microsoft has 3D buildings in its virtual world which are photo-realistic. There is expected to be 15 cities with 3D buildings at launch, with 100 by next summer.
The service will have an API, so people can use the Virtual Earth globe in their own apps and mash-ups.

Google Office now a reality

The new combined Writely and Google Spreadsheets interface has just gone live, under the name Google Docs & Spreadsheets. The Writely.com site now re-directs to http://docs.google.com and the Writely brand has been replaced by the usual no-frills Google brand. The homepage allows you to tag and sort your files. There are also common functions, like import and export. The new doc and spreadsheet pages now look almost identical, with similar tabs and layout.
This seems to be a consolidation step towards Google Office which is take shape in Google labs. Maybe you will see some more applications being added to the suite.
